Danu and Crow are enjoying the spectacle of a father and son enjoying themselves in a festive game of mushroom boat racing. They are enjoying a little magic in action at the creek. They are both looking back at the audience as if inviting them to participate in watching the games of the little people. This painting was inspired by a small creek that passes near where I live. I love to sit and watch the wildlife of this creek come alive. If I am really still: I get to listen to birds sing their song; I get to watch deer graze on the raspberry bushes nearby; and I will sometimes be lucky enough to see birds of prey hunt for food.
