Shauna McAllister is a Métis, Cree, and settler artist born and raised in Treaty 6 territory (Edmonton, AB). Her creative journey, AlbertaVista Creations, is deeply rooted in reclamation—a path to reconnect with the heritage and culture disrupted when her grandmother attended residential school and was separated from her home community of Onion Lake, SK.

Now based in Tkaronto, Shauna honours her roots through the craft of ribbon work. The name AlbertaVista reflects her enduring love for her home province and the diverse landscapes that shaped her. From ribbon skirts and shirts to T-dresses and denim jackets, each piece is a celebration of identity. Custom orders are always welcome.

Every item made is done with positive intention and good thoughts put into every stitch. Every piece is unique and willo not be replicated - ensuring each wearer has a personal item just for them!

Shipping

AlbertaVista Creations only ships within Canada. 

Flat fee of $25 Expedited Shipping with CanadaPost, includes insurance and tracking.

Custom Orders

1. Once purchased, we will reach out to you to begin the custom process
2. Measurement gathering: 
   1. Skirts: waist, hips, hem length
   2. Shirts: dress shirt sizing
3. Select your fabric from on-hand options OR book a virtual shopping appointment where we will send pictures in real time, ensuring you will have the perfect fabric for your skirt.
4. Choose any add-ons (optional, + extra fees):
   1. Extra ribbon rows ($5 each)
   2. Side Drops ($15 for 4 ribbon rows)
   3. Applique (heat transfer vinyl); ($15 small, $30 large)
5. Processing: up to 2 week from orde/fabric selction date to shipping date.

Care Instructions

• ONLY wash if necessary
• Wash item inside out on gentle cycle or by hand
• Hang to dry
• Iron inside out on cotton setting
• DO NOT directly iron on any applique(s)
