Be Silly By Silly

Illyana Cardinal is the gal behind Be Silly By Silly. A 22-year-old mixed-Cree artist born and raised in Amiskwaciywaskahikan (YEG), she is a self-taught beader with five years of experience. Her beading journey began in high school, in a spare room with a box of supplies left over from the previous year's beading club. Some of her first pieces include flat stitch earrings and peyote stitch keychains. Today she works in both traditional and contemporary beading styles and is adept in at least nine beading techniques. Each of her pieces is handmade, some over hours—put together bead by bead— with the future 'wearer' in mind ensuring the best quality and vibes. Illyana creates with a focus on producing eye-catching pieces that remain durable, yet dainty and lightweight; pieces of jewelry and accessories for everyone to enjoy!
