Rising Raven Creations

Trinity Antone (She/They), is 21-years-old and a proud mixed Two-Spirit Haudenosaunee artist from Oneida Nation of the Thames,Ontario and Malta, an island in the Mediterranean Sea, but was born and raised in Southwest Ontario. Trinity belongs to the Bear Clan, known as the Medicine People within her nation, and strives to spread medicine through her beadwork/art journey to whoever her creations speak to. 

The mixed arrays of different shades of purple represents Trinity’s great-grandmother Violet Antone, whose life was taken due to MMIWG2S and never served justice for what happened. As a way to carry and honour her great-grandmothers spirit in everything she does, Trinity heavily prioritizes incorporating shades of purple throughout RRC. One of the sacred 7 Grandfather teachings are also represented by a Raven or the Sabe (bigfoot), which is the teaching of Honesty. The Raven reminds us we must be truthful to who we are and accept our authentic selves, hence why the name “Rising Raven Creations” was chosen. It represents the rising of cultural revitalization and reconnection to our ancestral gifts as well as our authentic selves, not just for Trinity, but her whole family too, passed on and still here.
