The Creative Peace

Posoh Everyone, 

I am from the Menominee Indian Tribe of Wisconsin. My family is from the Golden Eagle Clan, the Thunderers. Our clan duties are war, peace, justice, and conflict resolution. Always trying to help others as advocates and protecting our community. Its a legacy, honor and duty I work to cultivate in my life. 

Creating runs in my family. I was given art as a gift to nuture and share. For me, art is one way the Spirit translates into the material world. My paintings are usually in acrylic, natural materials, pastels, and metallics. The gold or metal used in my paintings represents the Creator, the Mystery, the sacred, knowledge and spiritual truth.

My art is how I capture hard lessons, introspections, and visions. It's how I try to make sense of the questions & paths within me and what I observe in the world. Its an act of faith, a perseverance, a longing, a joy, a remembrance, a way to inspire others to look within and around themselves to reconnect. It's story-telling and symbolic, through layers and layers of expression.
