Product Description

Large round medallion with large studs.

The Cabochon artwork are pins that were handed out last year for free in the Downtown East Side of Vancouver for Truth and Reconciliation Day. The late great Artist known as Mervin Windsor, a Haisla Artist was the one who designed this artwork. I provided some information about him and his journey with Indigenous artwork before he passed.

Made with Cechz and Toho glass seed beads, silver and black rhinestone banding, edged with bicone glass beads and glass seed beads. The cabochon is a pin that the backing has been taken off and mounted in the centre. The necklace part has various glass seed beads, glass bicone beads and large glass faceted beads. I've added Ivory bone beads to the necklace part and also added some to dangle off the medallion. Silver end caps are attached to where the bone hangs down. The length of the necklace without the medallion is 9". The medallion is 4 1/2 inches wide all around. The extra dangles at the bottom are 4" long. Backed on faux black leather.

The earrings are made with the same glass seed beads and rhinestone banding. Also with the same cabochons. They are edged with glass seed beads and are 3 1/2 inches wide all around. With finger nail posts and backed on faux black leather.

15% which equals $27 CAN will be donated to the IRSSS (Indian Residential School Survivors Society.)
