Cai is an Algonquin-Anishinaabe and Cree-Métis two-spirit artist living on the unceded territory of the xwməθkwəy̓əm (Musqueam), Skwxwú7mesh (Squamish), and Səl̓ílwətaʔ (Tsleil-Waututh) Nations. They have been drawing and painting from a young age and began beading in early 2021. Much of Cai's work is inspired by the flora and fauna of the Pacific Northwest and Eastern Woodlands where they grew up.
